Late-Night Flights & Winter Transfers from SKG to Halkidiki

SKG receives flights at almost every hour, including charters that land between 23:00 and 03:00. Public transport (KTEL bus, Thessaloniki city bus) basically stops after midnight, and metered airport taxis charge a steep night surcharge. Pre-booking a private transfer is the only stress-free option for late arrivals.

Do you pay a night surcharge?

With us — no. The fixed price you see at booking is the same whether you land at 11:00 or 02:30. We track your flight in real time, so even if you arrive 90 minutes late the driver will be waiting with a sign at arrivals.

Hotel check-in after midnight

Most 4–5 star resorts in Halkidiki have 24-hour reception, but smaller hotels and Airbnbs do not. If you're arriving after 23:00, message the property in advance to confirm the check-in process — they may leave a key in a lockbox or send a code. Tell us too: the driver can wait at the door until you're inside.

Winter & off-season travel

Halkidiki is open year-round, but November–March most beach resorts close and the action shifts to Thessaloniki city, Mount Athos pilgrimages and weekend getaways to Ouranoupoli, Arnaia or Parthenonas. Roads are excellent (no snow on the main coastal highway in normal years), but daylight is short — early-morning pickups need headlights and longer driving times. Winter prices for transfers are the same as summer.

What to do if your flight is cancelled

Send us a WhatsApp as soon as you know — same-day re-scheduling is free if we can confirm the new flight. If you're stranded in Thessaloniki overnight, we can also arrange a city hotel and morning transfer. No no-show fees if you cancel before the driver dispatches.
